    Wao!!!!!!!
This is what happens when some people think they can do whatever they like.
Again the Apex court has said ‘no you cannot’. Hopefully they will learn from this.
But my question is ‘How many more to go’?

  2. It is a good development. Obasanjo should by now be ashame of himself by the latest development. It’s a shame on him. Thank God we have good judicailly system.
He was first ashemed when his ota farm cabinet man Andy Uba was removed from Anambra.
It is a good omen, it shows that lies exist for a moment while truth triumph for ever.
    I expect more of it.
The ultimate will be when INEC and EFCC will tell us the simple truth about its activities during OBJ.

  3. On what basis should Rotimi Amaechi be sworn in as governor, he was never voted for, what the supreme court should have ordered is a fresh election, not swearing in of a person that was never voted into office. This Supreme court in trying to prove a point based on a blind rage of hatred for Obasanjo will be used to derail our hard earn democracy.

  4. Na wa ooo!!! Rotimi Amaechi was never voted for in the elections. I am of the opinion that Tonye Princewill should be the person to come in since he came out second in the elections. I believe Princewill will be having a meeting with his party and lawyer(s) now. Another legal battle is about to begin in Rivers state. Watch out for the this moviecoming up soon; “PDP vs AC” or shall I say, “PARTYLESS vs AC”. (OOPS!!!). I pray for peace in Rivers state after this verdict. MAKE I GO WORK AND COME IN ONE PIECE. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Nigeria, we now hail thee. Let us see if the image of our country can be restored through the use of “rule of law”

  6. we are also expecting that of Edo, Oyo, Ondo, etc to be handed over to the correct guys….

  7. I will say this is good and very bad news at the same time. Good news in the sense that the judiciary in Nigeria is showing the whole world that it is independent. I am sure all the present governors including the president will be very uncomfortable with the unfolding events. Many more heads will role, surely. Shame unto Baba! He thought he could impose candidates on the populace.

Very bad news because people seem to forget that Rotimi Amechi is as corrupt (if not more) as his God father Peter Odili. I pitty the people of Rivers State when this man becomes the governor. This was a speaker that surrported Odili’s looting spree for 8 years. The facts of these are just emerging, and here we go again with another looting spree. Rotimi was only sidelined because he refused to work against Peter Odili. They both share friends in common, and this man knows the looting system very well.

People may not like to hear this, but Rotimi Amechi is a confirmed cultist. Just watch and see the support cult members will get from this man. I expected the Supreme Court to either call for fresh elections.

Let us all pray that Rivers State doesn’t go bankrupt before the end of Rotimi’s tenure.

  8. I think this is definitely the hand of God. People should learn from what is happening. The Apex court people are not fools. I do beleive they have good reasons for their judgment. If they said so, so be it util it is set aside.

  9. I am really happy about this development, PDP, Obasanjo, and Yar’ Adua should be ashame. I am still waiting for the apex court to rule against Yar’Adua, because they don’t have anything to offer nigerians. I hope AC will contest this ruling, because Amechi was never voted for, and should not be there. Tonye Princewill is the choice

  10. What is happening in Delta State? Any News?. We need Ibori and his criminals out. deltans need good governance, not criminals.

  11. LUCKY AMADI NYEJIEME

The Supreme Court has once more proved to the country that we have a judiciary. The judgement is sound devoid of any ambiguity’s. We will now have a government with a human face. We (the people of the Rivers State) should pray for God to sustain this government. So we should make our own contributions to progress the Rivers State.
    LUCKY AMADI NYEJIEME.

  12. In a way the supreme court judgement is fair on one hand but rather dusty on the other hand. The declaration of Ameachi as the winner of the just decided case of wrongful substitution of Omehia as the flag bearer of PDP is a welcome development but on what basis is Ameachi being sworn in as the governor of Rivers State? Did Rivers people vote for him in the governorship election? He never constested as the governor and there are still others who contested but were robbed by the PDP machinery, so I think the best thing is to give the second in the election – Tonye Princewill the leadership position or at most to conduct a fresh election. The way i see this situation is that justice has not fully been delivered. So we need to go back to the drawing board again. I mean to visit the judiciary once more.

  13. Glory be to God.I think the Apex court is doing what the spirit of God is asking them to do inorder to serve nigeria n nigerians from evil men like baba n almadi ali n PDP.

  14. PERSONAL HATREDS FOR IBORI WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. ODIKA WHO LIVES THE UK WAS ASKED TO COMMENT ON THE SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT OF TODAY. WHAT HAS IBORI GOT TO DO WITH THAT? IBORI WILL TRIUMP OVER ALL HIS ENEMIES, INCLUDING ODIKA. AMEN

  15. Venerable Archdeacon

It’s all corruption tango. there couldn’t have been an acceptable moral judgement from the apex court that is a product of a corrupt political system. No position would have also gone for the right for both Omehia’s entry and/or exit as well as Rotimi’s purported victory all smach of the same grist to a mill – the evil of PDP in Nigerian governance. God will save our nation someday.

  16. EJIRO IDAMA WHAT HAS IBORI AND HIS CRIMINAL DONE FOR THE STATE? PLEASE KINDLY LIST TEN THINGS HE HAS DONE IN 8YRS FOR THE STATE HE GOVERN.

  17. Victory indeed

  20. This is a great development.
we can at least for once, trust in our judicial system.
Let us now see where this development takes us.
What we do with it is what counts now.
May God give us the heart to deal with this transition in a peaceful way!!!

  21. I believe if the country continue to be under a democratic rule, changes must occur. The supreme court decision would have been the same under a military regime if such a case was brought to the attention of the court, but just the fear of military interest would have made the apellate to accept the party decision.
Another interesting thing here is the executive arm of government to fully implement the court’s decision; since the court itself has no enforcement mechanism. And I believe the President remarks will indeed help to strengthen things out.
It is indeed a positive step toward progress. The US democratic system also experienced some flaws and lapses too, but overtime they made changes and have attained the status quo, which become a benechmark to emerging democracies. Nigeria can equally do the same if we truly face and address our problems logically and systematically.

  22. The supreme court judgement on Rivers Governorship tussle leaves more to be desired .
It was opportunity for a vendetta for OBJ,s regime .
Omehia was presented to Rivers electorate before tHe election. They voted for Omehia in PDP . For us voters , many would have voted for someone else the PDP candidate was someone other than Omehia . Voters only see and hear what is being presented to them and has no understanding of intra-party politics

The Apex court has commited a technical error
    and a wrong precedence

  23. I am happy for the change and development that is taking place in Rivers State now. I heard that Amechi is planning to demonishe houses that is closer to road, is’t going to reach Eleme Local Government?
May God bless you for all your good works in our Land and strength you the more Amen!
Love you, you are a man with vission, mission and inspiration.
